Improves engine start, performance, fuel efficiency, stability and extends engine life.ĭamaged or worn spark plug that can cause major engine damage if not changed. Stable operating temperature guarantees heat control under a variety of loads. Superior conductivity for consistent voltage and long life. ![]() Premium quality materials resist fouling and corrosion. Comfortable, textured finish provides anti-slip grip for front hand. High durability spark plug that keeps your small engine running in optimum performance. This small hot cycle gasket or sealant blowby can cause engine performance problems.Īnother thing to check is heavy buildup at the exhaust port and muffler spark arrestor screen.a little buildup might allow the engine to start normally, but after high rpm and heat, the performance drops off.ĭo these things first.that's my suggestion.Compatible ECHO Hedge Trimmer HC1500, HCR1500, HC1600, HC2000, HC2100 Spark PlugĬompatible with Champion RCJ7Y & NGK BPMR6F Spark Plugs Diagrams are usually named by your machine serial number or year of manufacture. All parts that fit a Echo HC-1500 Hedgetrimmer. (i've experienced this same issue when holding trimmers at extreme angles on a low fuel condition.the engine gets starved of fuel!)įailing coils can develop heat related performance problems.īefore doing that I will look carefully over the entire engine and see if you can find a source of heavy fuel oil leaks. Look into the fuel tank.make sure the fuel pickup line is all the way to the bottom. As the engine burns more fuel, the in line fuel pickup line is above the fuel level. Sometimes the symptoms of engine performance problems after a hot cycle is not heat at all, but a in tank fuel pickup line that is not at the bottom of the tank. I'll probably just throw a $15 carb on it anyway just because they're cheap. I've read a possible issue is the ignition coil, but would that cause a bogging issue? Wouldn't a coil that can't run hot just straight up not work? Spark arrestor should be fine seeing as the engine barely has any hours on it, but I can't check it because I can't find a damn allen key of the right size. ![]() It ain't the gas cap either, I've tried loosening it when it's running like shit and it had no effect (Also there was no vacuum in the tank anyway). I suspected the carb, seeing as I had to replace the primer bulb and clear out the passages with the check valves (They were stuck), but seeing as it will cold start perfectly fine, I just don't know. I'm having an annoying issue with it where it will run perfectly fine and start with no issues, but after a few minutes when the engine is warmed up it just bogs when you give it gas and dies, and it will not idle when it's hot, and eventually it just won't start. It's quite old but it's barely got any hours on it. I have an old Echo HC-1500 hedge trimmer.
